Well, the LAST entry generated a lot of comments. No need to say more, except that yesterday and today were a little better. I got some sleep, which helped tremendously, and some of the officers and I fixed some of the problems that were going on over here. Things aren't perfect (are they ever), but we found some ways to lighten the mood a bit.

I got a box with Christmas cards from a middle school in Littleton, Colorado... they were beautiful, so we put them up on the marble wall in our office. It's really nice to get letters from kids about their lives, their pets and family, their hobbies and sports... not only is it nostalgic to get a card made out of construction paper and glue-stick, but their stories and comments are so pure and heartfelt. (Not to mention a little funny at times.)

Have a good holiday, if I don't write back before Christmas!

Glad to see you're feeling a little better today! Hang in there, LT and know that we keep you in our thoughts and prayers! (Hey, I even lit a candle for you in church on Sunday!)

Hi girl,
I know how you feel. I'm not even deployed and I am dealing with it. My problem is only a capt. Thanks god she PCS's in aug. It can't get here soon enough. I wanted to send you a card with Channing's picture in it but I couldn't find a good address for you. Could you email it to me. I hope your xmas is better than the days leading up to it. Are they at least going to give you a lighter work load on xmas? It doesn't seem like they have done anything up to this point. I realize that you are deployed and have work to do, but they need to realize that they need to keep morale up as well. Xmas is a big holiday for many people and it would probably help a lot of people's morale if they were given even half a day off. But that is just a jr officer speaking. Who are we to make the rules. I do hope it gets better for you. Look on the brite side. You are over halfway done with your tour and should be home soon. God Bless.
